SoundQuilt / Stewart-Matheny Farm News Update
The most recent events took place June 28 and July 12, 2008 near Strasburg, Virginia. Everybody in attendance had a great time. The bands were wonderful, camping great and the community diverse. Many volunteers helped to make the shows even more special.
The first event was SoundQuilt Music Festival 2008 on June 28th and just 2 weeks later, Stewart-Matheny Farm hosted the 15th annual Cecilfest 2008 event. In both cases, a great time was had by all.
Many folks were recording, taking photos and running video.
William Mitchell Studios, an artist from Virginia, provides the festival T's for SoundQuilt, Wilderness Jam, Cecilfest and more. The SoundQuilt festival logo this year featured a graphic image of the honeylocust thorns which make for curious conversation at the host venue, Stewart-Matheny Farm. William had his camera at SQ 08 and also at Cecilfest 08.
Deanne Good is 50% of FirkinGood. Her camera was workin' at SQ 2008. Becky Matheny captured some images at Cecilfest 2008. Dan Sheehan, Green Door Promotions Tom & Doreen, Jessica Legnini and other were there capturing images, audio and video...pretty cool.
